The dream scoops me up in a dying embrace As I fall back to bed in a slumber some grace. Nightmarish phantoms still tug at my toes As I step from the noose of the shocking night shows. And snapping back in the stability of mind, I feel all but fear to the vile sign. My thoughts race back to the bitter cold Of a past regret and a tragedy re-told. And the visions come back and take in their toll On the thoughts that linger in my mind and soul, They stay and dance like a blackened star, Singing blood and doom as it burns a far. There is only one thing that remains to be said To stave off the phantoms of bitter dread; Acceptance to

I'm kind of going crazy, I'm caught inside my mad mind. Ten different things weigh me down, but I'm still fine! The words are coming slowly, my mind is on a slur.
